About me

Dr. Rafael Nogueras obtained his PhD in Computer Science and his MSc in Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Málaga and his MSc in Electronic Engineering at the University of Granada, all in Spain. In addition, he has an MBA from Esesa Business School. Finally, he completed his university studies with a large part of the Degree in Physics at UNED.

In the professional area, he has developed most of his career in private industry. He has been for more than 10 years in some multinationals such as Vodafone, IBM or Lidl before returning to Public Administration in 2012. On the other hand, he has been dedicated to research for more than 25 years, mainly in the field of evolutionary computation. More specifically, he is interested in genetic and memetic algorithms in distributed systems and more recently in ephemeral computing, complex networks and autonomous systems.

Furthermore, Dr. Rafael Nogueras has always been interested in studying sports and economic data and statistics. He has also written some articles in Spanish newspapers in which he objectively analyzes economic data and related to various sports (list of newspaper articles).
